The ancient village square, dominated by the majestic bell tower, is the historical heart of Monforte d'Alba. The mighty Romanesque tower is the only surviving element of the pre-existing medieval church, demolished in the early 20th century.
Recently transformed into an auditorium, the square was named after the famous pianist Horszowski, who inaugurated its opening in 1986. The atmosphere here is unique, charming and timeless. In the evening, the soft light and silence of the ancient walls embrace the place, creating an ideal stage for fascinating events. The 18th-century Palazzo degli Scarampi, the Baroque oratory of Santa Elisabetta and the soaring façade of the Church of the Disciplinanti Bianchi provide an extraordinary setting that enhances the beauty of this space.
The auditorium is an exclusive venue, used for the entire summer season during the prestigious Monforte in Jazz Festival, which animates its evenings with a musical offering of the highest level.
